The current roads works are causing great inconvenience and stress for local residents.
I live on Riversleigh Way and it doesn’t matter where you want to go to you will end up having to queue. No wonder so many houses in the area are up for sale!
The permanent traffic lights are permanently off which seems totally unnecessary as are 4 way traffic lights This adds to the chaos and is unsafe for pedestrians, especially primary school children trying to get to school.
Please insistent on an end date being given, without one there is no pressure to complete. Also please ask the county council to send an assessor to see if the configuration of the traffic controlling systems are being fair to the general public – both car drivers and pedestrians.
Thank you

Hi Anita, apologies that we had not replied sooner, but things were going on ‘behind the scenes’ the Parish Council had been in contact with the (Lancashire County Council employed) contractors on almost a daily basis when issues with the traffic control were not condusive with efficient traffic flow. Happy to report it’s now complete and the Parish Council are very satisfied that the end date was adhered to and they have made good (in fact bettered) the road and pavement service as it was
